Historique: Louis de Bourbon
Born in 1438 by Charles the First Duke of Bourbon and Agnes of Burgundy, daughter of Jean sans peur. He is therefore the cousin of the King of France, Louis XI, and the nephew of the Duke of Burgundy, Philip le bon. Despite the rules of the chapter, he was elected to the bishopric of Liège by Pope Calixtus III on 30 March 1456. He was consecrated to Huy on 20 July 1466.
